EXCEL Workshop

All incoming McDonough Scholars are required to participate in this five-day event before taking the first course (LEAD 101) in the Leadership program. The EXCEL Workshop - always held the week before fall classes begin - introduces new leadership students into the core concepts and ideas behind the "McDonough Experience." Upper-class EXCEL Leaders run this workshop and serve as mentors for the new leadership students. Participants are challenged to see themselves as active members of a new learning community.

We have created a page for everyone to check on our EXCEL Freshman as they go through the Workshop. On the left hand side of the page, you will find links that lead to run-downs of everyday. At the end of every day of the EXCEL Workshop, the days page will be updated to include summaries of events, quotes from the students, and many, many photos.
