McDonough Scholars Participate
in Make a Difference Day
This academic year, the McDonough Leadership Program has continued its involvement in Make a Difference Day (MADD), a national day of service sponsored by USA Today Weekend and the Paul Newman Foundation. MADD was on October 24th this year, and saw the implementation of 28 separate projects. These projects included a Locks of Love hair donation event for create wigs for children with cancer, fundraisers for the Betsy Mills Club in the form of a haunted house open to the community, and Red Ribbon weeks put on in multiple schools in the area, just to name a few. These projects were partially funded by a generous donation from the local Chase Bank branch under the direction of Larry Headlee.
